Mike Sullivan is a Group Creative Director at Arnold Worldwide where he leads creative for Progressive Insurance, Monster dot com and Nomi Health. He was recently named among Adweek’s Creative 100 and has been awarded in the industry’s top showcases including Cannes, Clios, One Show, Effies, D&AD, AICP and more. At this point he should have an exact audit of all his ad awards, but he’s still working on that. Mike’s primary focus has been in expanding Progressive’s brand work beyond the realm of Flo the insurance lady. He is responsible for introducing Progressive’s Dr. Rick and the world of un-becoming your parents, and bringing the brand into the NFL fold with At Home With Baker Mayfield. Other notable introductions include Progressive’s Motaur campaign featuring, the half-man half-motorcycle born to ride. And Dan the Sign Spinner, America’s most underwhelming sign spinner. A native New Englander, Mike currently lives outside Boston with his amazing wife, and two magical daughters who remind him every day his work is not funny.

After talking about advertising stuff long enough, Mike eventually starts in on his life as a musician and touring rocker. Highlights of these tales include touring with Spoon, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Dr. Dog and recording a single with Nora Jones. “Turn Them” appears on Nora’s duets album, “…featuring Nora Jones”, between Foo Fighters and Willie Nelson. Mike’s daughters are also not impressed with any of his music accomplishments.
